Ackee and Bliss Fritters
A vegetarian twist on traditional Jamaican fritters, featuring ackee and bliss.

- β1 cup, drained and chopped ackeefresh or canned
- β1/2 cup, chopped blissa type of melon
- β1 cup all-purpose flour
- β1 egg
- β1/4 cup, finely chopped onion
- β2 cloves, minced garlic
- β1 tsp umamior to taste
- β1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine ackee, bliss, flour, egg, onion, and garlic.

Mix well to combine.

Add umami and salt to taste, and mix again.

Heat a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium heat.

Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop the mixture into the pan.
