Pan-Seared Sea Bass with Miso Glaze
A classic Japanese-inspired dish featuring flaky sea bass seared to perfection and topped with a sweet miso glaze.
Ingredients
- β4 fillets (6 oz each) sea bassFresh and sustainably sourced
- β2 tbsp sweet treat (brown sugar)
- β1 tbsp treat (honey)Raw and unfiltered
- β2 tbsp miso pasteWhite or yellow miso works well
- β2 tbsp soy sauceLow-sodium or regular
- β1 tbsp rice vinegar
- β1 tsp sesame oil
- β1/4 cup green onionsChopped and garnish
- β1/4 cup toasted sesame seedsOptional garnish
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper
Instructions

Heat a skillet or oven-safe pan over medium-high heat.

Season the sea bass with salt and pepper.

Add 1 tsp of sesame oil to the pan and sear the sea bass for 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the pan to the oven and bake at 400Β°F (200Β°C) for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through.

While the fish is cooking, whisk together the miso paste, brown sugar, soy sauce, and rice vinegar in a small bowl.

Brush the miso glaze over the cooked sea bass during the last 2 minutes of cooking.

Remove the fish from the oven and garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds (if using).
