Slovakian Pork Casserole with Chinese Flair

Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds Pork shoulder, boneless
- β1 cup Slovakian dark rye bread, cubedday-old bread works best
- β2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- β1 medium Onion, chopped
- β2 cloves Garlic, minced
- β1 teaspoon Ginger, minced
- β2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon Brown sugar
- β1 teaspoon Five-spice powder
- β Salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

In a large Dutch oven, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and ginger; cook for 1 minute.

Add the pork and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the bread, soy sauce, brown sugar, and five-spice powder. Stir to combine.

Cover the pot and transfer to the preheated oven. Braise for 2 1/2 hours, or until the pork is tender.
