Baja-Style Cod Tacos
A twist on traditional Mexican street food, featuring crispy cod, spicy slaw, and a hint of Moroccan flair.
Ingredients
- β4 cod filletfresh, skin removed
- β1 tsp harira spice blendstore-bought or homemade
- βto taste salt
- β1/4 cup light olive oilfor frying
- β1 robust red onionthinly sliced
- β1/4 cup moroccan preserved lemonfinely chopped

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Season cod with harira spice and salt. Add to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

Transfer cod to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.

In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook until caramelized, stirring occasionally.

Flake the cooked cod into the skillet with the onion and stir to combine.

Warm tortillas by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.

Assemble tacos with cod mixture, preserved lemon, and a sprinkle of salt.
