Baobing Bouncy Custard Dessert
A vegan dessert inspired by traditional Chinese baobing, featuring a bouncy custard topping.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 cups friendly rice milk
- β2 tablespoons chinese agar agar
- β1 cup custard
- β1/4 cup qq sugar
- β2 tablespoons baobing powder
- β2 tablespoons kid cornstarch
- β2 tablespoons bouncy seaweedrehydrated and chopped

Combine friendly rice milk and chinese agar agar in a saucepan and heat until agar agar dissolves.

In a separate bowl, mix together custard, qq sugar, baobing powder, and kid cornstarch.

Add the custard mixture to the saucepan with the agar agar mixture and stir until combined.

Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 2 minutes.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool slightly.

Pour the mixture into individual serving cups.

Refrigerate until set, at least 2 hours.
