Crispy Uruguayan Empanadas with Spicy Aromatic Beef
A twist on traditional Mexican empanadas, these crispy Uruguayan-style treats are filled with spicy aromatic beef and perfect for a flavorful snack or meal.

- β1 pound Uruguayan BeefGround beef
- β2 teaspoons Aromatic Spice BlendGround cumin, chili powder, and smoked paprika
- β1 package Crispy Empanada DoughHomemade or store-bought
- β1 tablespoon Score (For Baking)For brushing empanadas with egg wash
- β1 tablespoon Fat (For Brushing)Vegetable oil
- β1 cup Empanada FillingBeef, onion, garlic, and Aromatic Spice Blend

- βto taste Black Pepper

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the Uruguayan Beef, Aromatic Spice Blend, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Roll out the Crispy Empanada Dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch. Cut out circles of dough.

Place a spoonful of the Empanada Filling in the center of each dough circle.

Brush the edges of the dough with the Score and fold the dough over the filling, pressing the edges to seal.

Brush the tops of the empanadas with the Fat.

Place the empanadas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
