French Uruguayan Empanada Crisps
A crispy twist on traditional French empanadas, infused with the flavors of Uruguay.
Ingredients
- β12 pieces uruguayan empanada doughhomemade or store-bought
- β1 medium aromatic onionthinly sliced
- β6 slices crispy bacondiced
- β1 cup score cheese blendshredded
- β2 tbsp fat (olive oil)for brushing
- β1/2 cup additional empanada dough (for crisps)crushed

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Cut the empanada dough into 12 equal pieces.

Roll out each piece into a thin circle.

Place a spoonful of the onion and bacon mixture in the center of each circle.

Top with a sprinkle of the score cheese blend.

Brush the edges with olive oil and fold the dough in half to form a half-circle.

Press the edges to seal and use a fork to crimp.

Cut the empanada into strips and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
