Uruguayan Empanada Crust with Chinese Aromatic Filling
A twist on traditional empanadas with a crispy crust and a flavorful Chinese-inspired filling.
Ingredients
- β2 cups Uruguayan Empanada Dough
- β1/2 cup soy sauce Aromatic Chinese FillingCombine with 1/4 cup chopped scallions and 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- β1/2 pound Scored BeefSlice into thin strips, score with a sharp knife
- β1/4 cup Crispy Fried Onions
- β1 tablespoon Fat (Vegetable Oil)
- β1/4 cup Empanada Filling (optional)Add 1/4 cup diced vegetables (e.g., carrots, bell peppers)

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Roll out Uruguayan Empanada Dough to 1/4 inch thickness.

Cut out circles of dough using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.

Place a spoonful of Aromatic Chinese Filling in the center of each dough circle.

Add a few slices of Scored Beef on top of the filling.

Fold the dough in half to form a half-circle shape and press edges together to seal.

Brush tops with Fat (Vegetable Oil) and sprinkle with Crispy Fried Onions.
