Spicy Prawn Paella
A fusion of Thai flavors with the classic Spanish dish. Sweet and spicy prawns in a savory paella.
Ingredients
- β1 pound PrawnsLarge, shell-on
- β1 cup Paella riceShort-grain rice
- β1/2 cup SweetThai sweet chili sauce
- β2 tablespoons MexicanCanned diced tomatoes with green chilies
- β2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
Instructions

1. Heat oil in a large paella pan over medium-high heat.

2. Add prawns and cook until pink, about 2 minutes per side.

3. Remove prawns and set aside.

4. Add Mexican tomatoes and cook until heated through.

5. Stir in sweet chili sauce and cook for 1 minute.

6. Add paella rice and stir to coat with oil and sauce.

7. Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.

8. Add cooked prawns back to the pan and simmer, covered, for 15-20 minutes.

9. Fluff rice with a fork and serve hot.
