Smoky Fish Fritters
Crispy fritters filled with smoky fish, perfect for a quick lunch or snack. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Fish (Cod or Haddock)Diced
- β1 cup All-purpose FlourPlus extra for dusting
- β2 tablespoons Smoked PaprikaSmoky flavor
- β1 tablespoon Hot SauceOptional, for some heat
- β1 EggBeaten
- β1 cup BreadcrumbsPanko or regular
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Pepper

1. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

2. In a large bowl, combine the fish, egg, and hot sauce (if using).

3. Add the flour mixture to the fish mixture and stir until just combined.

4. Stir in the breadcrumbs.

5. Using your hands, shape the mixture into small patties, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

6. Heat about 1/2 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

7. When the oil is hot, add a few fritters to the skillet (do not overcrowd).

8. Cook the fritters for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.

9. Remove the fritters from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
