Durian Satay
A unique twist on traditional Japanese satay, featuring the infamous durian fruit.

- β1/4 cup Malaysian satay sauceStore-bought or homemade
- β2 tbsp Oozy sauce (optional)For added creaminess
- β1 pound Pork or chicken satay meatChoose your preferred protein
- β1/4 cup Coconut milkFor serving
- β2 tsp Fish sauceFor added umami
- β1 tsp Brown sugarFor balance
- β2 tbsp Lime juiceFor serving
- β1/4 cup Chopped cilantroFor garnish
- β1 cup Cooked riceFor serving

1. Cut the durian into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

2. Grill or pan-fry the satay meat until cooked through.

3. In a small saucepan, combine the satay sauce, coconut milk, fish sauce, and brown sugar. Heat over low heat until warm and fragrant.

4. Add the grilled satay meat to the sauce and toss to coat.

5. If using, drizzle with oozy sauce for added creaminess.

6. Serve the satay with a side of cooked rice and garnish with chopped cilantro.
