French Baguette with Jucy and Polish Sausage
A classic French-inspired dish with jucy and polish sausage, served with crusty bread.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Jucy sausagepreferably French-style
- β1/2 pound Polish sausagesuch as kielbasa
- β1 baguette Rye breadpreferably day-old
- β1/4 baguette Flatbreadfor serving
- β1 medium Onionthinly sliced
- β2 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons Butterunsalted
- β1 teaspoon Saltflaky sea salt
- β1/2 teaspoon Black pepperfreshly ground

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and place on a baking sheet.

Drizzle the top with butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly toasted.

Meanwhile, cook the jucy sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking up with a spoon as it cooks.

Add the sliced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the sliced polish sausage to the skillet and cook until heated through.

To assemble the sandwiches, place a few slices of the jucy sausage on the bottom half of the baguette.

Top with a few slices of the polish sausage, some of the onion and garlic mixture, and finally the top half of the baguette.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

Alternatively, serve the sausage and onion mixture on top of the flatbread for a more rustic presentation.
