Tunisian Corn Pastries
Delicate pastry pockets filled with sweet corn and exotic spices, perfect for a snack or dessert.
Ingredients
- β12-15 pieces Tunisian pastries
- β1 cup Corn kernels
- β1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- β2 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
- β1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- β1/4 teaspoon Ground ginger
- β1/8 teaspoon Salt

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out the pastry to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

Cut out circles of pastry using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.

In a bowl, mix together the corn kernels, sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, ginger, and salt.

Place a spoonful of the corn mixture onto the center of each pastry circle.

Fold the pastry in half over the filling and press the edges together to seal.

Brush the tops of the pastries with a little water and sprinkle with sugar.

Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
