Spicy Jamaican Prawn Gratin
A tropical twist on the classic gratin, featuring succulent prawns in a spicy Jamaican sauce.
Ingredients

- β8 tiger prawnschopped
- β1 cup all-purpose flour
- β1 cup gratin cheese
- β4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- β1 large red onionchopped
- β1 thai red chilichopped
- β1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- β1 teaspoon garlic powder
- β1/4 cup fresh cilantrochopped

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Season the prawns with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.

Dredge the prawns in flour, shaking off excess.

Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the chopped tiger prawns and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Transfer the prawns to a baking dish.

Mix the grated cheese with the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.

Pour the cheese mixture over the prawns.

Sprinkle with chopped cilantro and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.

Combine 1/4 cup of chopped red chili, 2 cloves of minced garlic, and 2 tablespoons of lime juice in a small bowl.
