Filipino-Style Bistek
A classic Filipino dish made with thinly sliced beef cooks in a mixture of soy sauce, patis, and calamansi. This recipe is a twist on the traditional bistek with the addition of celery for an extra boost of flavor.
Ingredients
- ●1 lb BistekThinly slice the beef into 1/4 inch thick pieces

- ●2 CalamansiJuice of 2 calamansi

Season the beef with salt and black pepper.

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium-high heat.

Sear the beef for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until browned.

Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Add the onion and garlic to the pan and sauté until softened.

Add the celery and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Add the patis and calamansi to the pan and stir to combine.

Return the beef to the pan and stir to coat with the sauce.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the beef is cooked through.
