German-Style Hash Browns

Peel and grate the potatoes.

Soak the grated potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a paper towel.

In a bowl, mix together the grated potatoes, hash, salt, and pepper.

Heat 1-2 tablespoons of oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Add the potato mixture to the pan and press it down with a spatula.
