French Quiche Lorraine
A classic French dish, perfect for breakfast or dinner, made with eggs, cheese, and lardons.
Ingredients

- ●200g lardonssmall pieces of bacon
- ●250g gruyère cheesegrated
- ●200ml heavy cream
- ●20g butterunsalted
- ●1 onionchopped
- ●1 tsp salt
- ●1 tsp black pepper
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Roll out the pastry and place it in a 23cm (9inch) tart tin.

In a pan, melt the butter and cook the lardons until crispy.

Add the chopped onion to the pan and cook until softened.

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper.

Add the grated cheese to the bowl and mix well.

Pour the egg mixture into the pastry case.

Add the cooked lardons and onion to the egg mixture.

Bake the quiche for 35-40 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.

Remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
