Thai Lacquer Glazed Shrimp Tacos
A dish that combines the sweetness of Thai lacquer glaze with the spice of Mexican tacos. Morbier cheese adds a rich and creamy touch.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Large Shrimp
- β1 cup crumbled Morbier Cheese
- β1/4 cup Lacquer Glaze
- β8-10 shells Tacos Shells
- β1 cup Sliced Cucumber
- β1/4 cup Chopped Cilantro
- β2 tablespoons Lime Juice
- β1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds

1. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

2. In a small saucepan, combine lacquer glaze and 2 tablespoons of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.

3. Thread the shrimp onto skewers, if using. Brush the shrimp with the lacquer glaze mixture.

4. Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are pink and cooked through.

5. Warm the tacos shells according to the package instructions.

6. Assemble the tacos by placing a few pieces of the grilled shrimp onto a shell, followed by a spoonful of morbier cheese, some sliced cucumber, chopped cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice.
