Tender Beef Birria Tacos
A fusion twist on traditional Indian cuisine, featuring tender beef birria in a flavorful Indian-inspired taco.
Ingredients
- β1 pound beefcut into small pieces
- β1 can mexicandiced tomatoes with green chilies
- β2 tablespoons jubilantginger paste
- β2 tablespoons tendergaram masala
- β2 tablespoons birriabirria spice blend
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 cup coconut milkfull-fat
- β1 teaspoon saltto taste
- β2 cups waterfor braising

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.

Add garlic, ginger paste, garam masala, and birria spice blend. Cook for 1 minute.

Add diced tomatoes, coconut milk, salt, and water. Stir to combine.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 2 1/2 hours, or until beef is tender.

Shred beef with two forks and return to pot. Simmer for 10 minutes.
