Turkey Mince Pasta Bolognese
A light and flavorful Italian-inspired pasta dish made with turkey mince, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- β500g Turkey mincelean mince
- β250g Pastapenne or similar shape
- β1 medium Onionfinely chopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 tablespoons Tomato pastehomemade or store-bought
- β1 teaspoon Dried basilfresh basil leaves optional
- βto taste Saltpreferably sea salt
- βto taste Black pepperfreshly ground
- β2 tablespoons Olive oilfor cooking

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions.

2. In a large pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.

3. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

4. Add the minced garlic and cook for a further 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

5. Add the turkey mince and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned, about 5-6 minutes.

6. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

7. Add the dried basil, salt, and black pepper, and stir to combine.

8. Once the pasta is cooked, drain and add it to the pan with the turkey mixture.

9. Toss the pasta in the sauce and cook for a further 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has coated the pasta.

10. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves if desired.
