Japanese Beef Stew
A hearty, flavorful Japanese-inspired beef stew made with tender beef and rich beef broth. Serve over steamed rice for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- β1 pound beef stew meatcut into 1-inch cubes
- β1 tablespoon hot sauce
- β2 tablespoons ukrainian sour cream
- β2 tablespoons soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon sugar
- β1/4 cup green onionschopped
Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove beef from pot and set aside.

Reduce heat to medium and add hot sauce. Cook for 1 minute.

Add soy sauce, sugar, and 2 cups of beef broth. Stir to combine.

Return beef to pot and bring to a boil.

Cover and transfer to the oven. Bake at 300Β°F for 2 1/2 hours or until beef is tender.

Stir in ukrainian sour cream and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
