Algerian Tagine Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew inspired by Algerian cuisine, made with tender lamb, aromatic spices, and sweet dried fruits.
Ingredients
- β1.5 lbs Boneless lamb shoulder
- β1 cup Fresh mint leaves
- β1/2 cup Oats
- β2 tsp Algerian tagine spice blend
- β1 cup Dried apricots
- β2 medium Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β2 in Ginger
Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute.

Add the lamb and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the tagine spice blend, oats, and dried apricots.

Stir to combine, then add 2 cups of water.

Bring to a boil, then cover and transfer to the oven.

Bake at 300Β°F for 2 hours, or until the lamb is tender.
