Norwegian Potato Gratin
A rich and creamy side dish originating from Norway, made with thinly sliced potatoes and a blend of cheeses.
Ingredients
- β2.5 pounds Large potatoes
- β1 cup Flaky cheese
- β1 cup Fudgy cheese
- β6 tablespoons Butter
- β1 teaspoon Grated nutmeg
- βto taste Salt

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Peel the potatoes and slice them very thinly.

In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, create a layer of potatoes.

Dot the top of the potatoes with butter.

Sprinkle a third of the flaky cheese and fudgy cheese over the potatoes.

Repeat the layering process two more times, ending with a layer of cheese on top.

Sprinkle the grated nutmeg over the cheese.

Season with salt to taste.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
