Spicy Ukrainian Pork Skewers
Deliciously marinated pork skewers with a spicy twist, inspired by Ukrainian cuisine.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Pork shoulder, cut into 1-inch cubesMake sure to cut the pork into consistent sizes for even cooking.
- β2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- β2 tablespoons Lime juice
- β2 teaspoons Spicy Ukrainian seasoning blendYou can make your own blend by mixing together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- β1 tablespoon Honey
- β1/2 cup Roasted red peppers, slicedYou can use jarred roasted peppers if you prefer.
- β1/2 cup Red onion, slicedMake sure to slice the onion thinly for even cooking.
- β1/4 cup Fresh cilantro, chopped
- β1/4 cup Spicy peppers, slicedYou can use jalapeΓ±os or other spicy peppers of your choice.
- β10-12 SkewersMake sure to soak the skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before using to prevent them from catching fire during cooking.

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

In a large bowl, whisk together vegetable oil, lime juice, spicy Ukrainian seasoning blend, and honey.

Add the pork cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Thread the marinated pork, roasted red peppers, red onion, cilantro, and spicy peppers onto the skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

Grill the skewers for 8-10 minutes per side, or until the pork is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
