Vietnamese Rice Vermicelli Bowl
A simple and flavorful Vietnamese-inspired meal featuring vermicelli noodles, grilled pork, and fresh herbs.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Vermicelli noodlespreferably fresh
- β1 pound Pork shoulderthinly sliced
- β2 tablespoons Zesty saucestore-bought or homemade
- β4-6 Banana leavesfor wrapping
- β1/4 cup Fresh cilantrochopped
- β1/4 cup Fresh mintchopped
- β1/4 cup Chili slicesoptional
- β2 tablespoons Rice vinegarfor dressing
- β1 tablespoon Sesame oilfor dressing

Cook the vermicelli noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Grill the pork shoulder over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.

Slice the grilled pork into thin strips.

Heat the zesty sauce in a small saucepan over low heat.

Prepare the banana leaves by cutting off the stem and blanching them in boiling water for 30 seconds.

Wrap each serving of noodles in a banana leaf, adding a few slices of pork, some chopped cilantro and mint, and a few chili slices if desired.
