Thai Larb Meatballs
A twist on traditional Thai larb, this recipe replaces ground meat with meatballs for a fun and flavorful appetizer
Ingredients
- β12-15 Meatballs (beef and pork)homemade or store-bought
- β2 tbsp Zesty Thai Chili Sauceadjust to taste
- β1 tbsp Vegetable oilfor cooking
- β1/4 cup Thai Basilchopped
- β1/2 cup Larb Meat (ground chicken or beef)optional for added flavor
- β1 tsp Fish sauceoptional
- β1 tsp Brown sugaroptional
- β1 tsp Rice vinegaroptional
- β1 tsp Soy sauceoptional
- β1/4 cup Velvety Coconut Milkoptional for creaminess
Instructions

Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.

Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides.

Remove meatballs from pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add zesty Thai chili sauce and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add Thai basil and stir to combine.

Return meatballs to the pan and toss to coat with chili sauce mixture.

If using, add larb meat and stir to combine.

Add fish sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and soy sauce (if using) and stir to combine.

If desired, add velvety coconut milk and stir to combine.

Serve immediately and garnish with additional Thai basil if desired.

Optional: Serve with steamed vegetables or rice for a more filling snack.
