Fish Stew with Flaky Crust
A hearty fish stew made with flaky crust and infused with the flavors of portuguese spices and zesty lime.
Ingredients
- β1 sheet, thawed Flaky pastry dough
- β1 pound, cut into 1-inch pieces Fish (cod or haddock)
- β2 tablespoons Zesty lime juice
- β1 teaspoon Portuguese spices
- β1 clove, minced Garlic
- β1 medium, chopped Onion
- β1 cup Fish broth
- β1/4 cup White wine

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Roll out the flaky pastry dough and cut into 4 equal squares.

In a large bowl, mix together the fish, zesty lime juice, portuguese spices, garlic, onion, fish broth and white wine.

Divide the fish mixture among the pastry squares, leaving a 1/2-inch border around each square.

Brush the edges of the pastry with a little water and fold the pastry squares over the filling, pressing the edges to seal.

Brush the tops of the pastry with a little water and sprinkle with a pinch of flaky crust.

Place the fish pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
