Spicy Thai Flambé Shrimp
A spicy and flavorful Thai-inspired dish featuring succulent shrimp cooked in a flambé sauce.
Ingredients
- ●12 oz large shrimppeeled and deveined
- ●1 cup cherrysliced and pitted
- ●2 tbsp prik nam plaThai fish sauce
- ●1 tsp prik nam prikThai chili paste
- ●1/4 cup flambecognac
- ●1 tsp sugargranulated
- ●2 tbsp soy saucelow-sodium
- ●1 tsp brown sugarpacked light brown sugar
- ●2 tbsp oilvegetable oil
- ●1/4 cup fresh cilantrochopped
Instructions

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.

Add cherry and cook until caramelized, about 3-4 minutes.

Add prik nam pla and prik nam prik and cook for 1 minute.

Add flambe and cook until flambé has almost completely evaporated, about 30 seconds.

Add sugar, soy sauce, and brown sugar, and cook for 1 minute.

Return shrimp to skillet and toss to coat with sauce.

Serve immediately, garnished with chopped cilantro.
