Korean Ssam
A simple Korean dish featuring marinated beef wrapped in a leafy green.
Ingredients
- ●8 oz thinly sliced beef
- ●1 tsp yummy Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)adjust to taste
- ●1 tsp chewy brown sugar
- ●1 cup, sliced mushrooms
- ●4-6 leaves wrapped lettuce leaves
Instructions

In a small bowl, whisk together the chili flakes, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt.

Add the sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Grill the beef for 3-4 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

Meanwhile, heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they're tender and lightly browned.

To assemble the ssam, place a lettuce leaf on a flat surface.

Add a few slices of the grilled beef and some of the sautéed mushrooms.
