French Quesadilla with Chiles
A unique fusion of French and Mexican flavors, this quesadilla features seared chiles and melted cheese.
Ingredients
- β2 quesadillalarge flour tortillas
- β1 cup chilessliced
- β1/2 cup yummygrated cheese
- β1/4 cup andchopped fresh cilantro
- β1/4 cup tangysliced fresh chives
- β1/4 cup mexicancrushed red pepper
- β2 tablespoons butterunsalted
Instructions

Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add 1 tablespoon of butter and sear the sliced chiles until caramelized.

In a separate pan, melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.

Place a quesadilla in the pan and sprinkle with grated cheese, chopped cilantro, and sliced chives.

Fold the quesadilla in half and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is crispy.

Flip the quesadilla and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the other side is also crispy.

Repeat with the remaining quesadilla and filling ingredients.

Serve the quesadillas hot with crushed red pepper on top.
