Uruguayan Empanada Beef Filling

- β1 medium Yellow Onion
- β2 tablespoons Buttersalted
- β1 package Uruguayan Chopped Empanada Shells
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper
- βoptional Red Pepper Flakes

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the yellow onion to the skillet and cook until softened.

Add the butter to the skillet and stir until melted.

Season the beef mixture with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

Let the beef mixture cool to room temperature.
