Xeridic Ochazuke Tacos
A fusion dish that combines the flavors of Japan with the boldness of Mexico. Xeridic and ochazuke are used to create a unique and savory taco filling.
Ingredients
- β1 cup xeridicdried and rehydrated
- β1 cup japanese ricecooked according to package instructions
- β1/2 cup ochazukedried bonito flakes
- β4-6 corn tortillasfor tacos
- β1 avocadodiced
- β2 tablespoons lime juicefreshly squeezed
- β1 teaspoon cuminground
- β1/2 teaspoon chili powderground
- βto taste salt
Instructions

Rehydrate xeridic according to package instructions and set aside.

Cook Japanese rice according to package instructions and set aside.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add xeridic, cooking until lightly browned.

Add cooked Japanese rice to the skillet and stir to combine with xeridic.

Add ochazuke to the skillet and stir to combine with xeridic and rice.

Warm corn tortillas by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.

Assemble tacos by spooning xeridic and rice mixture onto a tortilla, topping with diced avocado and a squeeze of lime juice.
