Japanese Tacos with Comte Cheese
A fusion dish combining the best of Japanese flavors with the vibrant spirit of Mexican tacos. Crunchy shells filled with juicy beef, crunchy slaw, and creamy Comte cheese.
Ingredients

- β8 oz Comte cheeseSliced
- β8 tortillasCorn
- β1 head cabbageShredded
- β2 medium carrotsGrated
- β2 tbsp soy sauceLow sodium
- β1 tsp sugarGranulated
- β1 tsp sesame oilToasted

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil.

Add the sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for 15 minutes.

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Remove the beef from the marinade and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.

Meanwhile, toast the tortillas by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.

Assemble the tacos by placing a few slices of beef onto a tortilla, followed by a spoonful of slaw (see below).

Top with sliced Comte cheese and serve immediately.

To make the slaw, combine shredded cabbage, grated carrots, and a drizzle of soy sauce in a bowl.
