Korean-Style Hwajeon with a Sweet Twist
A unique Indian-inspired dessert using traditional Korean hwajeon ingredients, with a sweet and velvety twist.
Ingredients
- β1 cup rice flour
- β2 tablespoons sweet potato starch
- β1/2 cup korean hwajeon mixadjust to taste
- β1/2 cup velvety chocolate chips
- β2 tablespoons flower honeyadjust to taste
- β1 tablespoon ghee or oil
- β1/4 cup wateradjust to consistency

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine rice flour, sweet potato starch, and korean hwajeon mix.

2. Gradually add in water and mix until a smooth dough forms.

3. Divide the dough into small balls, about 1-inch in diameter.

4. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.

5. Add a small amount of ghee or oil to the pan and swirl it around.

6. Place a dough ball in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the bottom is lightly browned.

7. Flip the hwajeon and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

9. In a small saucepan, heat the flower honey over low heat until warm and syrupy.
