Smoky Tofu Patties
Crispy tofu patties marinated in a smoky Filipino-inspired sauce, perfect for a quick dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 block tofupressed and drained
- β2 tsp smoky paprikasmoked paprika
- β1/4 cup filipino marinadesee note*
- β1/2 cup all-purpose flourgluten-free flour for gluten-free option
- β1 cup pattiesany type of patty
- β2 tbsp coconut oilfor frying
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper

1. Preheat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium-high heat.

2. In a shallow dish, mix together the filipino marinade, smoky paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

3. Cut the tofu into small cubes and add to the marinade. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes, flipping halfway through.

4. In a separate dish, mix together the flour and a pinch of salt and pepper.

5. Remove the tofu from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Coat the tofu in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

6. Add a small amount of coconut oil to the preheated pan and swirl to coat.

7. Add the patties to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

8. Remove the patties from the pan and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

9. Serve the smoky tofu patties hot with your choice of sides.
