Monsoon Chicken Bryani
A flavorful Indian-inspired dish with smoky chicken, fragrant spices, and tender basmati rice.
Ingredients
- β1 pound smoky chicken breastboneless, skinless
- β1 cup monsoon basmati riceuncooked
- β1/2 cup greek yogurtplain, non-fat
- β2 tablespoons olive oil
- β2 teaspoons bryani spice blend
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 teaspoon cumin
- β1 teaspoon coriander
- β1/2 teaspoon salt
- β1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.

Add onion and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add garlic, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper; cook for 1 minute.

Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add yogurt and cook until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.

Stir in bryani spice blend.

Transfer saucepan to a large saucepan or Dutch oven.

Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.
