French Beef Stew
A hearty and comforting French-inspired beef stew made with tender beef, rich vegetables, and flavorful broth.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds Beef stew meat
- β1 large Onion
- β3 large Carrots
- β2 large Potatoes
- β1 cup Red wine
- β2 cups Beef broth
- β2 tablespoons Tomato paste
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- β1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- β2 sprigs Thyme
Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from pot and set aside.

Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add carrots and potatoes and cook for 5 minutes.

Add red wine and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pot.

Add beef broth, tomato paste, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Return beef to the pot and bring to a boil.

Cover and transfer to the oven. Braise until beef is tender, about 2 1/2 hours.
