Pan-Seared Norwegian Cod with Japanese Stew
A Japanese-inspired dish featuring pan-seared Norwegian cod served with a flavorful stew made with cod, stew vegetables, and a hint of Asian spices.
Ingredients
- β4 fillets, 6 oz each Norwegian Cod Fillets
- β2 cups mixed vegetables (carrots, potatoes, zucchini) Stew VegetablesYou can use any combination of vegetables you like
- β1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup sake, 2 tbsp rice vinegar Sizzling Asian Sauce
- β2 inches fresh ginger, peeled and grated Shattering Ginger
- β2 cups Cod Fish Stock
- β2 tbsp Sesame Oil

1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

2. Add the grated ginger and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

3. Add the Norwegian cod fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until cooked through.

4. Remove the cod from the skillet and set aside.

5. In the same skillet, add the stew vegetables and cook until they are tender.

6. Add the cod fish stock, soy sauce, sake, and rice vinegar to the skillet and stir to combine.

7. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
