Bass and Macaroni Comfort Casserole
A comforting casserole dish featuring sea bass and macaroni, perfect for a cozy night in.
Ingredients
- β4 sea bass fillets6 oz each
- β1 pound macaronielbow-shaped
- β2 cups milkwhole or 2%
- β1 cup grated cheddar cheesedivided
- β2 tablespoons all-purpose flourfor thickening
- β4 tablespoons butterunsalted
- β1 teaspoon saltto taste
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepperto taste
- β1/4 cup parmesan cheeseshredded, for topping

Preheat oven to 375Β°F.

Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente.

In a separate saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.

Add the flour and whisk to combine, cooking for 1 minute.

Gradually add the milk, whisking continuously, until the sauce thickens.

Stir in 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese until melted.

In a large skillet, cook the sea bass fillets over medium-high heat until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Transfer the cooked macaroni to a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Pour the cheese sauce over the macaroni and top with the cooked sea bass fillets.

Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese on top.
