Ukrainian Corn Fritters
Crispy corn fritters with a Ukrainian twist, perfect as a snack or side dish.

- β1 cup White cornmeal
- β6 slices Crispy baconcrumbled
- β1/2 cup Salty cheesegrated
- β2 large Eggs
- β1/2 cup Milk
- β1 medium Onion
- β2 cloves Garlic
- βto taste Salt
- βoil Fryfor frying

1. In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, eggs, milk, and salt.

2. Add crumbled bacon, grated cheese, minced onion, and crushed garlic to the bowl. Mix well.

3. Heat a large skillet with about 1/2 inch of oil over medium-high heat.

4. Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop the cornmeal mixture into the skillet.

5. Flatten the mixture slightly with a spatula and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side.

6. Remove the fritters from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
