Portuguese Chicken Wrap
A flavorful and easy-to-make wrap filled with roasted chicken, sautéed onions and peppers, and spices.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound Boneless, skinless chicken breast4-6 pieces
- ●1 Large flour tortillasoft flour wrap
- ●1/2 cup Red onionthinly sliced
- ●1/2 cup Red bell pepperthinly sliced
- ●1/4 cup Roasted red pepper saucehomemade or store-bought
- ●1/4 cup Shredded cheddar cheeseoptional
- ●to taste Salt and pepper
- ●1 tablespoon Olive oil

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Place the chicken on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.

While the chicken is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the sliced onion and red bell pepper and cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Shred the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces and add to the skillet with the onion and peppers.

Stir in the roasted red pepper sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Warm the flour tortilla by wrapping it in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.

Assemble the wrap by placing the chicken and vegetable mixture onto the center of the tortilla, and topping with shredded cheese if desired.

Fold the bottom half of the tortilla up over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll the wrap up tightly.
