Baja-Style Fish Tacos
A flavorful and spicy fish dish inspired by the flavors of Baja California, served in a crispy taco shell with a side of creamy slaw.
Ingredients
- β4 Fish Fillets (Basa or Cod)Skin removed, cut into small pieces
- β1/2 cup Lime JuiceFreshly squeezed
- β1/4 cup CilantroChopped
- β2 tsp Mexican SeasoningHomemade or store-bought
- β1 tsp CuminGround
- β1 tsp Chili PowderDried
- β1/2 tsp Garlic PowderDried
- β1/2 tsp SaltTo taste
- β1/4 tsp Black PepperTo taste
- β8-10 Huaraches (Corn Tortillas)For serving

1. In a shallow dish, mix together lime juice, cilantro, Mexican seasoning, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

2. Add the fish pieces to the marinade and coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

3. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Remove the fish from the marinade, letting any excess liquid drip off.

4. Grill the fish for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

5. Warm the huaraches by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.

6. Assemble the tacos by placing a piece of fish on each huarache, followed by your desired toppings (e.g. diced onions, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, salsa, avocado).
