Lamb Tacos
A spicy lamb dish inspired by the flavors of Ethiopia, served in a traditional Mexican taco.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Lambcut into small pieces
- β1 medium Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 tablespoon Spice blendEthiopian berbere spice
- β1 teaspoon Cuminground
- β1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepperoptional
- β2 tablespoons Lime juicefreshly squeezed
- β1/4 cup Cilantrochopped
Instructions

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium-high heat.

Add the lamb and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the spice blend, cumin, and cayenne pepper (if using) and cook for 1 minute.

Add the lime juice and cook for 1-2 minutes, until the liquid has almost completely evaporated.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Warm tacos shells according to package instructions.

Assemble the tacos by placing the lamb mixture onto a shell and topping with cilantro.
