Moroccan Tagine with Bacon
A rich and flavorful Moroccan-inspired dish made with crispy bacon, tender vegetables, and a sweet and spicy sauce.
Ingredients
- β6 slices Baconthick-cut
- β2 tbsp Moroccan Tagine Spice Blend
- β2 medium Onionschopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β4 medium Carrotspeeled and chopped
- β2 large Potatoespeeled and chopped
- β1 can Chickpeas
- β1 cup Dried Apricots
- β2 tbsp Honey
- β2 tbsp Lemon Juice
Instructions

Heat oil in a large tagine or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the bacon and cook until crispy, then remove from the pot.

Add the onions and garlic and cook until the onions are softened.

Add the carrots, potatoes, chickpeas, apricots, honey, and lemon juice.

Stir in the Moroccan spice blend. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

Return the bacon to the pot and stir to combine.

Cover the pot and simmer for 30-40 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
