Slovakian Caraway Seed Focaccia
A dense and rich Slovakian-inspired focaccia infused with the warm flavor of caraway seeds, perfect for a German-style snack or side.
Ingredients
- β400g slovakian rye flour
- β2 tbsp caraway seeds
- β10g yeast
- β10g salt
- β20g olive oil
- β250ml water
- β100g rich sour cream
Instructions

Activate the yeast by mixing it with 100ml of warm water.

Combine the rye flour, caraway seeds, and salt in a large bowl.

Add the yeast mixture, olive oil, and sour cream to the dry ingredients.

Mix the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it's well-developed.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 220Β°C (425Β°F).

Punch down the dough and shape it into a rectangle.
