Lamb Iskender Kebab
A classic Turkish dish made with lamb, served with a creamy tomato sauce and served with pita bread.
Ingredients
- β500g Lambsliced into thin strips
- β200g Creamy Tomato Saucestore-bought or homemade
- β4-6 slices Quietly Toasted Pita Breadwarm bread for serving
- βserves 4-6 Iskender Saladtomato, onion, parsley, sumac
- β2 tbsp Olive Oilfor brushing lamb
- βto taste Saltfor seasoning lamb
- βto taste Black Pepperfor seasoning lamb
- β1 clove Garlicminced for sauce
- β1 tsp Paprikafor sauce

In a large bowl, combine lamb strips, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat.

Heat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Cook lamb strips for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

Meanwhile, warm pita bread by wrapping it in foil and heating in the oven for 5 minutes.

To make the creamy tomato sauce, combine sauce ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine.

Assemble the kebab by placing cooked lamb strips on a plate, topping with creamy tomato sauce, and serving with pita bread and iskender salad.
