Cherry Braised French Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew made with tender cherry tomatoes and the richness of braised beef. Perfect for a chilly evening.

- β1 pint cherry tomatoeshalved
- β1 pound beef stew meatcut into 1-inch pieces
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 cup red winedry
- β2 cups beef brothlow sodium
- β2 sprigs thymefresh
- β2 bay leavesfresh

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear the beef until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.

Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the cherry tomatoes, red wine, beef broth, thyme, and bay leaves to the pot.

Return the beef to the pot and bring to a boil.

Cover the pot and transfer to the oven.

Braise the stew for 2 1/2 hours, or until the meat is tender.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
