Filipino Chicken Biryani
A flavorful and aromatic rice dish from the Philippines, made with chicken and spices.
Ingredients

- β2 cups Biryani rice
- β1 medium Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1 tablespoon Ginger
- β2 tablespoons Tomato paste
- β2 tablespoons Fish sauce
- β1 tablespoon Sugar
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Ground black pepper

Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger and sautΓ© until the onion is translucent.

Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides.

Add the tomato paste, fish sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

Add the biryani rice and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

Transfer the rice mixture to a large pot and add enough water to cover the rice. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the water has been absorbed.
