Slovakian Buckwheat Pilaf
A traditional Slovakian recipe using buckwheat and pilaf, served with a yeasty twist.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Buckwheat
- β1 cup Pilaf
- β1/2 cup, crumbled Yeasty breaduse stale bread
- β1 pound, sliced Slovakian sausage
- β1 medium, chopped Onion
- β2 cloves, minced Garlic
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
Instructions

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced Slovakian sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the buckwheat and pilaf to the skillet and stir to combine with the onion and garlic.

Add the crumbled yeasty bread to the skillet and stir to combine.

Return the cooked sausage to the skillet and stir to combine.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
