Venezuelan Curry Tofu
A flavorful and spicy curry dish from Venezuela using tofu and piquant peppers.
Ingredients
- β250g TofuDrain and cut into small cubes
- β4 Piquant PeppersSliced
- β2 tsp Venezuelan Curry PowderAvailable at most Latin American markets
- β2 tbsp Olive OilFor frying
- β1 medium OnionChopped
- β2 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1 medium TomatoDiced
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper
- βchopped Fresh CilantroFor garnish
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the piquant peppers and cook for 2 minutes.

Add the tofu and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.

Add the Venezuelan curry powder and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the tomato and cook until the sauce has thickened, about 10 minutes.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped cilantro.
